CMCS River Race, Saturday morning

We here at CMCS have a deep sailing heritage and have always recognized that “sailing” is the common focus around which we gather together.  Whether it is for monthly meetings, a cruising weekend, a monthly club river race, or a Summerset Regatta celebration, it is clearly the activity of sailing that brings us together.  Many new friendships and longtime friendly bonds are formed and nurtured through this amazing sport.  

This coming January 27 our focus is a fun informal race on the river north of the Veterans Bridge up toward downtown Fort Myers.  The RC boat and club PRO will be doing the 5 minute countdown to Start as well as recording Finish times of participating CMCS boats.  

Race starts at 10:00 am with a venue of 2 or 3 races.  Bring a crew, some lunch, a few beers (post-race) and an attitude of “let’s have fun.”  Hopefully, the  weather accommodates us with a nice breeze and some gentle sunshine!
